Install and Run the Script

• Place the script file in your Adobe Illustrator scripts folder:

  MacOS: /Applications/Adobe Illustrator <Version>/Presets/<Language>/Scripts
  Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator <Version>\Presets\<Language>\Scripts

• Restart Adobe Illustrator to load the script into the File > Scripts menu.
• Open your document and go to File > Scripts > Color Value Converter to launch the script.

Working With the Script Panel

When you run the script, an interactive floating panel will appear.

➊ HEX Panel

The HEX Panel allows users to work with HEX color codes, a common format for specifying colors in web and digital design. 

• Enter a HEX color code (e.g., #FFFFFF) in the text field.

🅰 Copy Color Values:

Use the copy button to copy the current color values to the clipboard for easy sharing or reuse.

🅱 Color Preview:

Provides a visual preview of the current color to help you see how the color looks in real-time.

➋ RGB Panel

The RGB Panel is designed for working with RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color values, commonly used in digital screens and web design. 

• Adjust the Red, Green, and Blue values using sliders or text inputs.
• Values range from 0 to 255.

➌ HSB Panel

The HSB Panel provides a user-friendly interface for working with HSB (Hue, Saturation, Brightness) color values, which are often intuitive for designers focusing on color tone, intensity, and lightness.

• Modify the Hue (0-360°), Saturation (0-100%), and Brightness (0-100%) using sliders or inputs.

➍ CMYK Panel

The CMYK Panel is specifically designed for working with CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) color values, the standard for print design.

• Adjust the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black values using sliders or text fields.
• Values range from 0 to 100%.

➎ Grayscale Panel

The Grayscale Panel is designed for managing grayscale values, which represent colors in varying shades of gray. 

• Adjust grayscale values (0-100%).
• 0% represents pure white, and 100% represents pure black.
• This option is enabled only when color saturation is set to 0.
