Distribute Gradient Stops
Figma Plugin
ㅤ
Description
Distribute Gradient Stops is a simple yet powerful Figma plugin that helps designers achieve evenly spaced gradient stops with a single click. Whether you're working with linear, radial, angular, or diamond gradients, this plugin ensures your color transitions are mathematically perfect and visually balanced.
The plugin works on both gradient fills and gradient strokes, and can process multiple selected objects simultaneously, including nested elements within groups and frames.
ㅤ
Features
- Universal Gradient Support: Works with all gradient types (linear, radial, angular, diamond)
- Batch Processing: Process multiple objects at once
- Nested Element Support: Automatically processes children within groups and frames
- Live Preview: See changes in real-time before applying them (enabled by default)
- Non-Destructive: Cancel anytime to revert changes

How to Use
ㅤ
➊ Select Objects
Select one or more objects in your Figma file that contain gradients. The plugin works with:
- Objects with gradient fills
- Objects with gradient strokes
- Groups and frames (it will process all nested elements)
ㅤ
➋ Run the Plugin
- Go to Plugins → Distribute Gradient Stops
- Or use the quick search: Press Cmd + / (Mac) or Ctrl + / (Windows), then type "Distribute Gradient Stops"
- The plugin validates your selection automatically - if no gradients are found, you'll get a notification without opening the UI
ㅤ
➌ Preview Changes
- The plugin opens with Preview enabled by default
- Your gradient stops are automatically distributed evenly as soon as the plugin opens
- Click the eye icon to toggle preview off and see the original state
- Click again to toggle preview back on and see the distributed version
- The preview is live and non-destructive - your original gradients remain unchanged until you apply
ㅤ
➍ Apply or Cancel
- Click Apply to permanently apply the changes
- Click Cancel to revert all changes and close the plugin
ㅤ
This is particularly useful when:
- Importing gradients from other design tools
- Cleaning up manually adjusted gradients
- Creating consistent gradient systems
- Working with gradients that have been modified multiple times
